St. Louis Jewish Light February a Page Thirteen Beckers to Celebrate Anniversary Ghuta and David Becker of Bay Harbor Islands, and formerly of St. Louis, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Feb. 19. Attending the celebration will be their children, Marion and Bel Berkowitz of St.

Louis; Myron Becker of Atlanta, and Jane and Sam Kase of Dallas, Tex. The cou- ple's grandchildren, Alan, Maxine, Lynda and Richard Berkowitz and Jeffrey and Merri Ellen Kase, will also be present for the event. Also taking part in the celebration will be their brothers and sisters, Gretchen Braufman, Helen Auerbach, Ruth Hess and Fran and Abe Hess, all of St. Louis. Ms.

Seidel Me. Pesch Rosen Weinbach Mr. and Mrs. Stanley E. Nelson of Los Angeles, announce the engagement of Mrs.

Nelson's daughter, Pamela Faith Rosen, to Michael Jay Weinbach, son of Lawrence and Marlene Weinbach, also of Los Angeles, formerly of St. Louis. The bride elect, a graduate of Birmingham High School, currently is attending the Newberry School of Beauty. Her fiance, pa graduate of Granada Hills High School, is. the branch manager of TransAmerica Financial Services in La Mirada.

A June 6 wedding is planned. Seidel-Gothelf Mr. and Mrs. Avery B. Seidel announce the engagement of their daughter, Robyn, to Steven Gothelf, son of Mr.

and Mrs. Howard Gothelf of Chicago, Ill. The bride-elect, a graduate of Horton Watkins High School, will graduate in May from the University of IllinoisChampaign with a B.S. degree in elementary education. She is a member of 1 Sigma Delta Tau Miss Seidel is the granddaughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Leonard Seidel and the late Mr. and Mrs. Morris Roufa. Her fiance will also graduate in May from the University of Illinois with a B.S.

degree in accounting. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Rosenthal of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and the late Mr.

and Mrs. Barney Gothelf of Chicago. Kabak Mindy Jo Kabak, daughter of Barbara Horlick and Eugene Kabak, both of St. Louis, and Richard Dickerson, son of Mr. and Mrs.

James Spencer Dickerson of Glendale, recently became engaged. The bride-to-be, a graduate of Horton Watkins High School, attended Lindenwood Group Seeks Telephone Volunteers CONTACT-St. Louis is seeking new volunteers for its helpline. Classes begin March 2. Deadline for application is Feb.

23. CONTACT's helpline is for people who have a need to discuss a problem, feeling or situation that is causing them distress or suffering. Volunteers receive 50 hours of training. Besides preparing a person for service on the helpline, training is an experience in personal growth. The program consists of instruction and extensive practice in active listening skills.

Lectures by members of the professional mental health community are presented on crisis intervention, suicide, sexuality, loneliness, dying and grief, substance abuse and stress management. Following training, volunteers serve eight hours monthly, CONTACT-St. Louis is part of an international network of interfaith telephone ministries and one of 102 CONTACT centers in the United States.
