LOUIS JEWISH LIGHT COMMUNITYI LEADERSHIP Hadassah elects leaders BJC Auxiliary officers Members of the Barnes-Jewish Hospital Auxiliary-Parkview Chapter presented their annual gift to the hospital in the amount of $725,234 at their spring meeting and brunch held May 7 at the Junior League of St. Louis. The check represents monies distributed to the hospital during the past year. The meeting started with the installation of new officers for Parkview Chapter including new president, Myra Glazer.

Glazer is also currently active in the Heritage League Board of Directors of the American Cancer Society. Other officers installed are: Vida Fabric, vice president fund-raising services; Barbara Kennington, vice president membership; Robin Alton, vice president volunteer services; Maxine Kalina, treasurer; Linda Mormol and Renee Rosen, financial secretaries; VicM Lanier, assistant recording secretary, and Rosalie Chod and Dorette Goldberg, directors. Following the installation, the program featured guest speaker Ruth Kaye performing her one-woman show, "My Grandmother, My Mother Me." The St. Louis Chapter of Hadassah held its annual meeting and installation of officers on May 13 at the Junior League of St.

Louis where guest speaker Merle Freed, owner of Merle Freed in Ladue, addressed women in business and voluntarism in her talk, "Starting from Scratch and Succeeding." The 2003-2004 officers installed include: Diane Bleyer, president; Abby Goldberg, secretary; Debbie Furman, treasurer; Cheryl Adelstein, Fran Alper, Kim Barnes, Carol Blinder, Megan Flom, Nancy Goodman, Cynthia Kramer, Becky Lerner, Bonnie Levens, Barbara Rosenfield, Jane Tzinberg Rubin, and Erin Schuver, division chairs. Also being installed were board members at large Melissa Chelist, Teree Farbstein, Tamar Fernandez, Linda Gavatin, Meredith Hanis, Marcy Conn ell Johnson, Sheila Kraizer, Carole Lawrence, Chris Lyss, Mimi Pultman, Sauci Saffitz, Clara Schwartz, Francine Seslen, Gloria Spitzer, Sharon Summers, Jennifer Tobias, Margo Tzadok, Lisa Waxman, and Jane Roodman Weiss. Becky Lerner was awarded the New Myra Glazer meeting and brunch included co-chairs Susan Luten and Robin Alton' along with Marcia Pass, Carol Cohen, Marcie Kalina and Sue Wallach. Chabad launches Web site Leadership Academy were recognized in honor of their upcoming graduation from this two-year program. They will continue their commitment to Hadassah with a year-long internship.

Class members include: Cheryl Adelstein, Judith Cleavelin, Betsy Dennis, Teryn Farbstein, Tamar Fernandez, Debbie Furman, Pam Goldberg, Cynthia Kramer, Maria Mondschein, Jane Tzinberg Rubin, Sauci Saffitz, Kelly Shevitz, Jane Tarlow and Jenny Wolkowitz. The Chabad on Campus organization, a Jewish student organization based in St. Louis, has launched an interactive Web site.

"ChabadonCampus.org" (http:www.C habadonCampus.org) provides extensive information for students. The site is dedicated to keeping students informed of upcoming events, Jewish learning and holidays. Information is also available for parents of current students, prospective students and alums. Another feature is the "Ask Moses" link with rabbis available 246, (all days of the week, except for the Jewish Sabbath and holidays), live, one-on-one, to answer questions on any topic.
